Through the initiatives we support, we are committed to be like Magnus. To inspire cyclists globally, to imagine and execute things that seemed impossible, and to provide a place to pay tribute to lives worth remembering. The White Line has three distinct areas we support.

INCREASE AWARENESS OF THE WHITE LINE

Increased penalties for careless and reckless driving resulting in death or serious injury
We will advocate for the enactment of state and nationwide laws that impose stricter penalties for careless and reckless driving that results in death or serious injury for all vulnerable road users. Such changes could deter negligent and reckless behavior on the road. Driving is often described as a privilege, not a right. Yet drivers who kill vulnerable road users are rarely given penalties that amount to more than traffic tickets and fines.

While no consequence can ever bring Magnus back, accountability remains paramount. As parents, we emphasize the importance of accountability and consequences to our children. Magnus lived by these principles, and we must uphold them in his memory.

Immediate and quick improvements to vulnerable road user infrastructure
We recognize that substantial infrastructure changes for cyclists and other vulnerable road users can take years if not decades to complete. We’re fully supportive of those measures. However, municipalities and transportation departments already likely know where the potential hot spots are and can implement faster measures to enhance safety for vulnerable road users. We fully support and endorse the following measures and will use our voice to help make them happen:

• Speed cameras
• Reduced speed limits
• Rumble strips
• Double white lines
• Additional cycling signage

LIVES WORTH REMEMBERING FILM SERIES

The Lives Worth Remembering film series highlights stories of cyclists and other vulnerable road users killed while obeying traffic laws. Each episode features a family affected by vehicular violence, urging viewers to consider the broader implications for road safety policies and driver culture. The series underscores the urgent need for political action and addresses societal failures that contribute to these tragedies.

Through intimate interviews and compelling visuals, each film honors the victims, showing the profound impact of their loss on individuals and communities.

FUND YOUTH CYCLING AND RACING

Magnus wants us to ride our bikes. We aim to get more kids on bikes and to help more kids race. We are committed to following Magnus’s lead and inspiring others to imagine and then achieve what first seems impossible, to set the pace for others to follow, and to simply have fun on two wheels.

We aim to increase opportunities for Junior and Under-23 American athletes to compete internationally by:

• Grants to organizations already involved in this cause
• Scholarships for individual racers
• Sponsorships for US-based teams looking to travel for international competition
• A Future Road/CX/MTB team for Junior and U23 riders

We will disclose when applications are open.
