WEBINAR: Eight Laws. One Mission. Inside Colorado’s Landmark Year for Roadway Safety

This year, Colorado took a major step forward for roadway safety.

During the 2026 legislative session, eight significant roadway safety laws were passed, addressing critical gaps in how we prevent crashes, protect vulnerable road users, hold dangerous drivers accountable, and make Colorado’s roads safer for everyone.

But none of these laws happened overnight.

In our recent webinar, Eight Laws. One Mission: Inside Colorado’s Landmark Year for Roadway Safety, we went behind the scenes of this historic legislative session to talk about what passed, why these laws matter, and what it took to move them across the finish line.

The conversation features The White Line Executive Director Jacqueline Claudia, Policy Advisor and Lobbyist Fran Lanzer, Colorado State Senator Dylan Roberts, and The White Line Co-founder Michael White, who share their perspectives on the families, advocates, lawmakers, and partners who helped make this progress possible.

We also look ahead at what comes next, and how the lessons from Colorado can help advocates push for meaningful roadway safety change in communities across the country.

Eight laws represent extraordinary progress. But our work is far from finished. We’ll keep fighting for a future where everyone can get home safely.
